Share The Dream

Copy of Share The Dream

In coordination with the Putnam County Community Foundation (PCCF), the library is participating in the Share The Dream initiative. The Share The Dream initiative is an effort by the PCCF to help raise funds for various organizations in the Putnam County area.

At the library, we strive to share as many resources as possible with the community. Everyone knows that libraries have books, but did you know that we have DVDs? What about video games? We have audiobooks, CDs and public computers. We even have bikes that anyone with a library card can check out.

Sharing is the core value of the library. Sharing materials, sharing space and sharing information is our main trade. We are known for sharing smiles and sharing laughter at our many programs and activities for children. Teens share their opinions on books, movies and music at our monthly book clubs. Adults share their experiences and knowledge in our adult programs.

In order to build on what we already share with the community, we need to additionally build on the funding that goes into these projects and programs. The PCCF Share The Dream initiative allows us to do just that. As long as we raise ten donations of $25 dollars, the PCCF will match contributions to our endowment at 60%. That is sixty cents for every dollar donated.

If you are able to share with us to help build a better future for the library, you can donate here. First, make choose the amount you would like to contribute. Then, make sure to select "Putnam County Library Endowment Fund." If you prefer to donate by check or by cash, you are able to drop off donations at the library or at the PCCF offices. Share The Dream runs from May 1-August 1, 2019.

At the library, we appreciate any and all contributions to the welfare of the library. Monetary donations are appreciated, but we appreciate our volunteers, presenters, patrons and partners equally.

Thank you to the Putnam County Community Foundation for providing us with this way to raise funds to preserve the future of the library. Thank you to all of our patrons for your continued support.
