What is the Adult Summer Reading Club?
The Adult Summer Reading Program is open to ages 18+. At the Putnam County Public Library, we believe reading is universal. Whether you read books, graphic novels, listen to audiobooks, or read magazines, we believe that all reading is important, no matter the age. We aim to cultivate a community of lifelong readers.
How do I participate in the Adult Summer Reading Club?
PCPL’s Summer Reading Club runs from June 15-July 30. Each age level is asked to complete a game board in order to receive prizes. For the Adult Summer Reading Club, adults must read seven books, attend seven programs, or a mix of each. When you have finished your reading material or attending programs, email the image of your game board to the library. Every person who completes a game board will receive an Advanced Readers Copy, which is a book that has not been released yet. Look through our ARCs Lists to see what we have available. Each book you read or online program you attend will earn one raffle ticket towards our Grand Prize Drawing, which includes gift cards to Conspire Contemporary Craft and Starbucks Coffee.
To participate in the Adult Summer Reading Club Challenge, simply download and print the Adult Game Board, or add it to your Curbside Services Order. Photograph or scan in your completed game board and email the image to the library.
Prizes can be added to Curbside Service orders or picked up in the library when the library reopens.
