Curbside Service

Place Holds Using Phone, Email, Or Evergreen Catalog

Curbside Service is available at the library from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. We are unable to serve you curbside outside of these hours. 

In order for us to gather your books for pick-up, we need to know what you want! We are able to place holds on materials by phone, email, and the Evergreen Indiana catalog. Here’s a helpful guide for each:

Phone
1. Prepare your list of requests. If possible, provide titles and authors for each material.
2. Gather your library card. We will need your library card number to place an order.
3. Call during our listed times where staff are available to take calls.
4. A staff member will enter your list into our system and your order will be queued for Curbside Pick-Up.

Email
1. Prepare your list of requests. If possible, provide titles and authors for each material. 
2. Gather your library card. You will need to provide us with your library card number in your email.
3. Email with your name, phone number, library card number, and list of requests.
4. A staff member will contact you to set up a date and time for Curbside Pick-Up.

Evergreen Indiana Catalog

To place a hold from your Evergreen Indiana account: 

      1. Log into My Account
      2. Search for the item in the catalog.
      3. Click “Place Hold” on the record. 
      4. Confirm library pickup location and hold notification details and select “Submit”.

Materials By Request

Patrons may request materials on-demand to be delivered via Curbside Service. 
1. Prepare your list of requests. If possible, provide titles and authors for each material.
2. Gather your library card. We will need your library card number to check materials out to you.
3. Call during our listed times where staff are available to take calls.
4. A staff member will enter your list into our system and your order will be queued for Curbside Pick-Up.

Please be advised that requesting materials on-demand may necessitate a longer wait time. Staff will retrieve materials in the order that they are requested. 

Pick-Up Your Order At The Library

Once you are notified your order is ready, you may come to pick it up. We ask our patrons to help us curb the effects of Covid-19 by following best safety practices. When picking up your materials, please use these helpful tips to stay safe and keep library staff members safe.

Please Do:

Call the library to let us know that you have arrived to pick-up your order.

Tell us the make, model and color or your car.

Open your trunk (or passenger door) so that library staff may safely place your order in your vehicle.

Leave the items in your trunk for several days of quarantine to be extra cautious if you prefer.

Place your returning items into the book drop as you enter the library parking lot.

Please Avoid:

Giving your returning items to a library staff member. These must be placed in one of the outside book drops.
