Seed Swap

Seed Swap

The PCPL Seed Swap is available to cardholders. The library has a cabinet available beginning in March of each year filled with seeds. Choose your seeds and bring them to the Circulation Desk so that we can record how many seeds were taken. After that, take your seeds home and plant your garden!

If you find yourself with extra seeds after planting, or if you save seeds from your garden in the fall, we would be happy to accept them as a donation.

Don’t have a library card? No problem! Just bring in your photo ID and we will get you registered as a cardholder.

So, how does it work?

1. Choose your seeds from the cabinet.
2. Take some seeds out of the large envelope.
3. Label your small envelope and place seeds inside.
4. Tape the small envelope shut. Put the large envelope back in the drawer.

5. Take your small envelopes (Limit of 5)  to the circulation desk for check out.
Notes: There is no due date on seeds (because you can’t really return them). If you have extra seeds at home, please donate them at the circulation desk.
