Digital Talking Books

The Digital Talking Book is a service to assist people who have a love for books and information, but find it difficult or impossible to use the traditional resources that a public library provides. People who might find the Digital Talking Book service beneficial are those with low vision, blindness, or physical disability that makes it difficult to read regular print. 

The Adult Services Department will assist qualified patrons with using and borrowing the device. 

How to Borrow Digital Talking Book Device:

-Patron describes themselves as having low vision, blindness, or physical disability that makes it difficult to read regular print.
-Be a member of the Putnam County Public Library.

The Digital Talking Device has a one month loan period. 

The Digital Talking Books have one month loan period. 

Devices and books are nonrenewable, as the availability of these devices and materials is limited. 

The Digital Talking Book service is generously funded by the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS). This service is supported by the Indiana State Library
